Comprehensive cancer awareness and support initiative for the community
The Cancer Project aims to address cancer awareness and support in the community through multiple initiatives. The first initiative, Sensitization, involves creating awareness both physically, through community-level engagement, and virtually, via social media campaigns with Vox Pop, short videos, memes, and e-fliers. The goal is to increase awareness of cancer and its effects, involving volunteers and healthcare workers.
The Cancer Support Program creates a community where cancer patients can encourage one another. It plans to run health checks for 250 women quarterly, providing a support network for those affected.
Medication Support focuses on fundraising to provide low-cost or free medications for women diagnosed with cancer. Similarly, Treatment Support seeks to raise funds to support cancer treatment for patients in need. The project's approach emphasizes building a network of volunteers and healthcare professionals to drive awareness and support efforts. With a combination of sensitization, support programs, and fundraising, the project aims to provide holistic assistance to cancer patients in the community.
